In Under the Wire

Told my buddy I'd see my first road turtle before the end of May. Today paid off. Bike's freewheel decided it didn't like to be free (see last week's rain ride photos). Shoulda tended to the messy bike and not let it set - hopefully just some stuck pawls but who gives?! I saw some turtles! And then a mouse about the size of a quarter ran up ahead as I was walking my bike home. Skimmied down into an asphalt crack then posed for me. You see a lot more things when your walking. Walk yer bike!!!
